| Restaurant Manager As a Restaurant Manager you will play a key role in the operation of one of our seven restaurants located in HRM. You will have the overall responsibility for directing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring compliance with our standards in all areas of operation. General Responsibilities: • Interact with customers: receiving orders, processing sales, and managing customer issues • Ensure products are consistent with our quality standards • Ensure maintenance of equipment, facility, and grounds through the use of a preventative maintenance program (checklist) • Ensure food quality and 100% customer satisfaction • Unloading, stocking and maintaining required inventory level Management Responsibilities: • Work within our guidelines to control labour and food costs • Prepare, transport daily deposits • Process additional administrative duties as required by our Head Office • Oversee cash control via spontaneous float reviews • Reviews financial reports (re cash shortages) and takes appropriate actions • Review financial reports re labour and food costs and make appropriate adjustments • Ensure complete and timely execution of corporate marketing programs (flyers, posters, coupons, etc) • Meet uncompromising standards in maintaining a clean and safe work environment Human Resource Responsibilities: • Working within our guidelines, recruit, interview, and participate in hiring team members • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to Head Office • Shift scheduling • Ensure that staff is adequately trained in WHMIS and Food Safety Handling courses • Ensure practice of health and safety regulations • Support and motivate staff Required Attributes: • Outstanding work ethic, reliability a must • Dedication to providing exceptional customer service, a commitment to customer satisfaction • Enthusiastic with the ability to motivate staff • Good communication skills and strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills • Exceptional team building and leadership capability Required Skills: • Basic business math skills and strong analytical/decision making skills • Basic personal computer literacy (familiarity with email required) • High School Diploma or GED required. College or university Degree preferred • One-two years supervisory experience in either a food service or retail environment preferred Additional Requirements: • Valid driver’s license • Dependable and reliable vehicle (to make daily deposits, covering deliveries if necessary) • Willingness to learn new skills • To participate in Manager’s Meetings as required | |
