Halifax Base Logistics Material Coordinator

Responsibilities:
Manage base inventory, parts count and location as well quarantine.
Monitor US deployment kit East/West as required;
Assure proper population of inventory in stores system;
Receive merchandise from different sources; conduct incoming inspection and organize in appropriate assigned location and populate inventory system accordingly
Prepare items for shipping (packing), while adhering to all special packaging instruction as required;
Conduct periodic inventory taking as established;
Received request for parts (RFP) from internal employees;
Follow established procedures to determine best place to ship from(satellite or central) and quantity to remove;
If required, create request for quotes (RFQ)in order to obtain price and availability (P&A), Participate in the selection process and provide purchase recommendations and create purchase orders (PO).
Monitor estimates delivery dates (EDD) from suppliers, and follow up to ensure EDD is maintained
Provide feedback to internal customers on status of their requisition, and expedite when required;
Communicate with suppliers directly to report discrepancies in orders received i.e. un-serviceability, damage to parts, warranty claims, or certification issues) and reach resolutions.
Follow up with the Material Movement Coordinator for all shipping /receiving activities related to duties, Dangerous Goods, export permits, and other Regulations.
Monitor YHZ tool control and calibration due dates and notify lead when items are nearing expiration;
Ensure technical and company manuals are up to date as new revision paperwork become available;
Occasional travel may be required, to other Top Aces bases or within North America to assist in material coordination on large aircraft deployments.

Qualifications:

Related logistics experience is beneficial
Self-motivated with strong organizational ability and attention to detail.
Able to work in independently with minimal supervision and other team members
Proficient using various MS Office operations, easily adaptable to new software applications.
